Koroski Muzej enota Ravne na Koroskem

The area around Ravne na Koroskem in northern Slovenia was well-known for its iron works and lead mines. The Koroski open air museum opened in 1953, and is based in the former Missthal Ironworks. Exhibits include an ancient water-powered hammer and a rolling mill, both used in the ironworks, as well as a lead-melting furnace, and a kiln, characteristic of the region, that could be used for drying flax, or for drying fruit for preservation.
