First ERIH Young Professionals' Network Roundtable on 26 February 2024

These future monthly meetings will serve as an open space for discussion and the exchange of ideas. Any news relating to the Young Professionals will be reported and there will be an opportunity to actively participate in shaping the network.

The "ERIH Young Professionals' Network" was created at the suggestion of participants in the Industrial Heritage Summer School. It is aimed at young people, particularly students, but also young professionals and volunteers at the ERIH sites. They are encouraged to take an active part in discussions and projects within the ERIH network and contribute their views on sustainability, climate change, working conditions, accessibility, digitalisation and the design of industrial heritage.

On behalf of the ERIH General Assembly, the Executive Board has developed a new membership category for 'Young Professionals'. This is open to students, volunteers, trainees, interns, postgraduates and anyone in the first five years of their professional career. The approach is interdisciplinary. All disciplines relevant to industrial heritage are welcome, such as architecture and urban planning, cultural studies and history, heritage conservation, industrial archaeology, cultural and tourism management, sustainability and communication sciences and related fields.

The meeting on 26 February 2024 is open to all interested parties. It will take place online from 7-8.30pm CET and can be attended via Zoom at the following link
