Verband Industriekultur und Technikgeschichte Schweiz VINTES

The 'Verband Industriekultur und Technikgeschichte Schweiz VINTES' (Association Industrial Culture and History of Technology Switzerland) is the umbrella organisation of private and public institutions involved in collecting, preserving and communicating in the fields of industrial heritage and the history of technology in Switzerland. VINTES pursues the following goals

• to preserve and communicate the rich heritage of Swiss industrial and technological history
• networking of the affiliated institutions and promotion of mutual exchange
• to create an overview of the institutions active in the fields of industrial culture and the history of technology and to make them visible through electronic and/or traditional media
• creation of favourable framework conditions for institutions active in the fields of industrial culture and history of technology
• promoting understanding of the above-mentioned issues among pupils, learners and students
• partner and contact point for universities, technical colleges, grammar schools and other schools
• representation of the association's concerns vis-à-vis the public, authorities and industry
