Creative Europe, the funding programme for Europe's audiovisual, cultural and creative industries, ensured its continuing support for ERIH yesterday. Accordingly, ERIH will receive a total of EUR 223,824, covering the period from October 2018 to September 2019. The funding originates in the EU Cultural Fund supporting European networks.
The new funding period is the second of a three-year funding term already approved last year. The pledge safeguards the financing of current projects, including a new edition of the successful pan-European dance event WORK-it-OUT next year.
Another special focus is the implementation of the project site twinning with the objective of a bilateral co-operation between thematically related ERIH sites, for example by exchanging staff. The Linking Europe project, which illustrates references between corresponding products, installations or industrial heritage sites in different parts of Europe, is also being pushed forward. As usual, the ERIH Annual Conference, this time in Bologna, will be high on the agenda.
