On 6th-7th April 2017 the ERIH Board met in the UK for one of its quarterly meetings.
On 6th April, the meeting was held at Lion Salt Works in Cheshire, an ERIH Anchor Point. This was the board’s first visit to the site since it reopened in 2015 after its major restoration and development project, and they were impressed with the transformation in the site and the quality of the visitor facilities and interpretation.
The following day, the board met at Port Sunlight Village, which is in the process of applying for ERIH Anchor Point status. The Board Members were impressed with the attractiveness and historical significance of the site and also with the engaging way that the story of the village is told in the Port Sunlight Museum.
