Already 1 June this year: the 15th INDUSTRIADA in Silesia, Poland
"15 years together" is the motto of this year's INDUSTRIADA, which will set Poland's industrial heart in the Silesian Voivodeship beating faster for one day. Having the largest festival of industrial heritage in Eastern Europe already on 1 June is new. As exciting as ever is the programme along the Route of Industrial Monuments, which largely coincides with the ERIH Regional Route Silesia and includes eleven ERIH sites, five of which are Anchor Points.
In its 15th year, INDUSTRIADA boasts an impressive success story: almost 950,000 participants have already visited the festival, running up to roughly 5,000 events at 46 venues in 29 cities in total. For 2024, the organisers hope to exceed the million visitor mark with even more events than in the years before.
The aim of the festival is to connect the past and present and rediscover stories of people and places in the region. Since the third edition, every INDUSTRIADA year has been assigned a guiding theme. Light, energy, water, labour, women in industry, nature in industry and art in industry are just some of them. This year's event visual features elements from all previous festivals in one motif on the traditional INDUSTRIADA orange background.
