Weisshuhn Canal

The Weisshuhn Canal was built in 1889-91 to raft timber to supply the Weisshuhn paper mill. It is 3.6 km long, runs through 3 tunnels and over 2 aqueducts. It was also used to producte energy for the paper mill and the town of Opava. While rafting was discontinued in 1966, it is still used to generate energy.
