Musée Aeroscopia

The airfield at Toulouse-Blagnac is the headquarters of the Airbus Corporation. The first Concorde supersonic airliner took off from its runway in 1969, and the innovative Caravelle short-distance airliner was built there in the 1950s. The foundation stone of the Musée Aeroscopia was laid in 2011 and it opened to the public in 2015. Visitors to the museum use the same entrance and people taking tours of the assembly line of the A380 airliner or of the Airbus factory generally which are managed by Manatour which shares the same address and telephone number. The museum tells the story of aviation in France from the early twentieth century. It incorporates the collection of the Association des Ailes Anciennes, and its own collection includes two Concordes, one displayed within the building and one outside, an Airbus 300B and a Caravelle.
