The OTE Group Telecommunications Museum was established in 1990 and is a unique in its kind technology museum, inextricably linked with the technological and social development in Greece. Through its educational programs, visual arts & technology workshops, guided tours for school groups, families and individuals, co-operations, mobile exhibitions, it turns into a living organism, with an extrovert role open to the society by building a dynamic and interactive relationship with it.
The Museum collection is documented and digitized including more than 4.000 items and rich archival material with over 25.500 archives. Telephone sets, Morse telegraphs, rare handwritten telegrams, telex & optical fibers, thousands of original telephotographs, wireless and satellite communications and one of the first television studios that were set up in our country in 1967 are some of the most prominent exhibits. In the newly renovated exhibition hall, the history of telecommunications from the invention of electricity to satellite telecommunications is displayed with the aid of modern interactive technological applications creating a powerful experience to visitors.
