Museum of Science and Technology / Museum of Industrial Design

The ancient city of Lutsk in north-west Ukraine is an important industrial centre with a wide range of industries, especially mechanical engineering, chemicals and food. The Museum of Science and Technology and the Museum of Industrial Design are part of the Adrenalin City complex of cultural and entertainment venues. The museums were established in 2013 with the involvement of the IT Step Computer Academy. The collections include over 1,500 objects and frequently receive donations. The displays are arranged thematically and cover the subject of technology from ancient times to the present day, with a focus on the late 20th century. They deal with music, architecture and design, optical technology, chemicals, medicine, photography and mechanics among other subjects. The intersection of art and technology is presented in a way intended to interest visitors and inspire the designers of the future. The Korsaks’ Museum of Ukrainian Contemporary Art is also part of the Adrenalin City complex.
