Museum of History and Development of the Donetsk Railway

The railway museum in Donetsk opened in 2000, the 130th anniversary of the arrival of the railway in what was to become the largest industrial city in the Ukraine. It occupies the former Uzovo locomotive depot near the city’s main station. Its collection includes 25 locomotives and railcars, including examples of steam, diesel and electric traction. Its displays illustrate, amongst other things, the role of railways during the Second World War.
