Eberhard is a construction and land-reclamation company started 70 years ago that uses excavator equipment on a large scale. It remains a family company. Ebianum is their museum of the history of construction machinery and changing ways of working. It is housed in a building with a dragline on top of the roof. The Eberhards began their collection of historical machinery around 1990 and they opened it to the public in 2010. There are around 100 construction machines and vehicles. Many are displayed against backgrounds that represent the places where they worked. Others are undergoing restoration. The oldest are a Henninger steamroller and two Caterpillar bulldozers from 1928. All kinds of equipment associated with excavation and earthworks are on show, for example draglines, tampers, rollers, tractors, loaders, tipper trucks and dumpers. Manufacturers represented include John Deare, Poclain, Ruston Bucyrus and many others. On the upper floor are over 3,000 models of construction machinery, trucks and cranes.
