Founded in 1924 by entrepreneurs from Aksaray, the Azm-i Milli Flour Factory stands as a symbol of Türkiye's early industrialization in the early years of the Republic. Built with local capital and employing the most modern production techniques of the time, it became the first factory in Türkiye to operate using hydroelectric power, playing a vital role in revitalizing both the regional economy and national development. Today, this pioneering industrial zone has been faithfully restored and, under the leadership of Aksaray Municipality, was revitalized in 2012 as the Azm-i Milli Science and Industry Museum, welcoming visitors to explore its rich industrial heritage.
