Autoseum is a museum of cars, mopeds, speedway bikes and aircraft. The collection began at Skokloster Castle in 1963 and passed through several owners. In 2008 it opened at Simrishamn, at the southern tip of Sweden. The earlier collection is brought together with new acquisitions and loans from the National Museum of Science and Technology and the Nisse Nilsson Collection. The cars represent many countries, including Sweden and Denmark, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and the United States. They include bubble cars, formula-one racing cars, limousines, sports cars and working vehicles. The two oldest cars date from 1898, one by Dansk Automobilefabrik and one by Renault. They are laid out in a large building of 4,000m2. The site also houses a toy museum, a collection of model aircraft and the Frasses and Marianne Musikmuseum, which is an important collection of early recording devices.
