The town of Eibar boasts an arms-making tradition, particularly damascened arms, that spans several centuries. Located on the 5th floor of the former arms factory 'Aguirre y Aranzabal' the museum gives visitors an insight into the evolution of the town's industrial past and technological developments dating from the 14th century up to the present day. Among the exhibits on display in the museum are an extensive collection of arms originally housed in the Armoury School museum and a wide variety of products manufactured in Eibar like bicycles, motorcycles, sewing machines; a few of them produced by familiar brand names such as Alfa (engineering group), Lambretta (scooter manufacturer) or Orbea (bicycle manufacturer).
