Présentation du sujet
Heartlands is an outstanding example of industrial heritage as a focus for community regeneration on land mostly cleared for redevelopment. The former industrial buildings, including the Robinson’s shaft pumping engine, operated between 1903 and 1955. These have been carefully preserved or reinstated. The international influence of Cornwall’s technological and social history is interpreted through high quality multi-media presentations. Cornwall is a cultural landscape and Heartlands explains this concept and the relationship between the area’s geology and its industrial activity.
