Digital projects unlock the rich history and creative energy on the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam

April 28, 2010 the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam, presented the first Urban Park Laboratories (UPLabs); amazing digital projects in public space,  from May 1 permanently available to visitors of Culturepark Westergasfabriek. Artists and creative people have used location based, mobile and digital techniques  to enliven the park with art, culture and history.

By the QR reader *, ten GPS Tours *, Time Viewer *, three ‘Whispering Banks’ * and Urban Screens * visitors discover the park's rich history and the creative energy of the Westergasfabriek.

So you can hear voices from the past, take a look behind the facades, ending up in the middle of a fairy tale or see the buildings through the eyes of the architect.

UPLabs (Urban Park Laboratories) will be available for free from May 1, 2010, for every visitor.
