Port Sunlight Village & Sunlight Vision Museum

With Lord Leverhulme´s gift to his wife - the magnificient Lady Lever Art Gallery - at its heart, this is no ordinary model worker´s village. Port Sunlight is a garden village which was founded in 1888 by Lever to house his soap factory workers. In line with his ideas on prosperity-sharing, the building maintenance and upkeep of the village was subsidised with a portion of the profits from Lever Brothers Limited.


The Sunlight Vision Museum is an exciting new visitor attraction in the world famous model village of Port Sunlight opens its doors soon. Sunlight Vision will provide a glimpse into the fascinating social history of Port Sunlight. Visitors will be able to discover astonishing facts about life as a Sunlighter, marvel at the village memorabilia displayed in the gallery zone and be amazed as the characters they meet in the exhibition zone come to life in an audio-visual experience. This eye opening attraction will allow you to see the true magic of one man´s dream.
