The MITI Museum rises from the Historic Workshops of Montani Technical College, situated in the town center of Fermo, well known for the remarkable views of the Marche region and landscape, it is a strategic starting point to visit one of the most important manufacturing fashion district in Europe and the neighbouring lively seaside tourist area.
MITI aims at recounting the history of industrial development and technical progress in Italy and in Europe, by showing real machines, scientific instrumentations and demonstrations of factory operations belonging to the industrial heritage of the 150 years aged school. The itinerary guides visitors through an imaginative knowledge experience, thanks to interactive, playful and multimedia installations. MITI is, in fact, a project specifically thought to raise new generations’ interest towards scientific and technical knowledge using a both recreational and educational format. Temporary exhibitions are also set up, as well as meeting and other promotional events are held in the dedicated areas of the Museum.
