The ERIH Conference 2012 will take place from 12 to 14 September in Amsterdam / Netherlands.
ERIH UK Looks to the Future
Future arrangements for ERIH UK were the subject addressed at a UK Anchor Point meeting held at Ironbridge on 1st – 2nd February, 2008. The meeting was well attended with delegates representing interested national and regional organisations in addition to representatives for 19 of the 26 UK Anchor Points.
Presentations from 3 consultants to raise issues were followed by 4 workshops to discuss the next generation of ERIH in the contexts of training, regional routes, brand recognition and the management model. A final session received facilitator summaries of the discussions, addressed questions raised at a German Anchor Point meeting the week before and confirmed UK management arrangements after April 2008.
The meeting recognised the achievement over the 4 years of the Interreg IIIB programme in establishing an excellent platform for the future development of ERIH while identifying directions for ensuring greater effectiveness once the international legal entity has been created.
