ERIH Annual Conference 2009 - Final Programme now available

Industrial heritage experts from all over the world meet during the TICCIH Conference 2009 from...

Nouvelle ERIH association était fondée

In February 2008 ERIH founded a registered Association based on German law for the continuation of the ERIH network. At last all administrative barriers have been overcome and the registration of the ERIH – European Route of Industrial Heritage e.V. is now legal. The priorities of the new Association will be the maintenance and continuation of the achievements from the ERIH project. Already today, ERIH is one of the most comprehensive cultural networks and information portals in Europe.

Priorities for the near future are:

  • the further extension of ERIH to the whole of Europe
  • links to other (cultural) networks like TICCIH
  • the organisation of the ERIH Annual Conference 2008 on “Industrial Heritage and Tourism” 14/15 November 2008 in Essen, Germany
  • raising funds and the identification of other sources of income
  • organize or participate in several events in 2009 in co-operation with other heritage networks.

In addition to the already existing membership for Anchor Points, there is a new membership category for sites which do not (yet) fulfil the quality criteria for Anchor Points, but still want to be part of the network. They can become members for a lower annual fee with a reduced service pack. Currently there are four membership categories with voting rights.More details can be found in the membership information, for your application, please use form below. The first General Assembly of the ERIH Association will be during the conference on Saturday 15 November 2008 from 9 to 11 o’clock at the World Heritage Site Zollverein in Essen, Germany.
