ERIH Annual Conference 2010 27th to 29th October 2010 in Barcelona, Spain

Registration is now open until 30th September 2010

The subject of this year’s Conference is “Industrial Heritage Tourism – Examples of Best Practice". The aim of the event is to increase awareness of the wide range of activity and good practice that is taking place in this field across Europe. As the Conference is being organised jointly with the TICCIH Industrial Heritage Tourism Section it will also feature examples of good practice from across the world.

CONFERENCE PROGRAMME

General registration is open now  until 30th September 2010.
The Conference fee is 55 Euros per person for ERIH or TICCIH members (75 Euros for non-members). Please use the registration form.

We have negotiated special rates with the Hotel VAPORGRAN in Terrassa. Please use the booking form to book your room.

The conference dates have been chosen to enable delegates to spend the weekend at Barcelona following the conference.

Industrial heritage experts from all over the world meet during the TICCIH Conference 2009 from 30th August to 5th September in Freiberg/Saxony.

Industrial heritage experts from all over the world meet during the TICCIH Conference 2009 from 30th August to 5th September in Freiberg/Saxony. Besides the presentations, workshops and seminars an interesting excursion programme as well as pre- and post-conference trips are available.

Also this year´s annual ERIH Conference takes place during the TICCIH Conference on Thursday, 3rd September 2009 at the Technical University and Mining academy Freiberg. Subject of the ERIH conference part is “Industrial Heritage Tourism”. After the conference the General Assembly of the ERIH association will be held.

The conference language is English.

I-er SALON INTERNATIONAL DU TOURISME INDUSTRIEL ET SOUTERRAIN

À l’occasion de la déjà célèbre et populaire conférence consacrée au tourisme industriel, en septembre 2009 la Ville de Zabrze accueillera la I-ère Edition du Salon International du Tourisme Industriel et Souterrain, organisée par la Municipalité de Zabrze et la Société Media Sol. Conçu sous forme de workshop, le programme prévoit des rencontres d’affaires entre professionnels du secteur touristique.

Comment devenir un membre

In February 2008 ERIH founded a registered Association based on German law for the continuation of the ERIH network. At last all administrative barriers have been overcome and the registration of the ERIH – European Route of Industrial Heritage e.V. is now legal.The priorities of the new Association will be the maintenance and continuation of the achievements from the ERIH project. Already today, ERIH is one of the most comprehensive cultural networks and information portals in Europe.

The European Route of Industrial Heritage (ERIH) is holding this year’s annual conference on 14th and 15th November 2008 at the World Heritage Site of the Zollverein Colliery in Essen. The main focus of the conference this year is “Industrial Heritage and Tourism”. Representatives of sites and of tourism organisations from different countries present ideas how to promote this “niche market” as a motivation for travel.
The conference start on Friday at around 14.00  with a trip to different sites in the Ruhr. On Saturday presentations will be held from 11.00 to 16.00.
For ERIH Members the participation in the conference is free, non-members are welcome, but will be charged a conference fee of 75 Euros.
Provisional bookings for the conference have been made in the Intercity Hotel, Essen (for details, please see registration form).
